The Fellows Foundation provides educational funding to students from Northwest Florida who are seeking degrees in the areas of healthcare including medicine and nursing, and ministry.
The Foundation was created under the will of the late Mrs. Earle W. Fellows-Williamson, widow of the beloved Pensacola physician, Dr. J. Hugh Fellows, as a means of helping students reach their dreams of helping others. It was their hope that medical and theology graduates will, in turn, provide their services to and invest in the Northwest Florida community.
Originally, funding for eligible Northwest Florida Students was private educational loans. However, in 2021, the Trustees petitioned the court and received approval to modify the terms of the trust to allow the trust to become a scholarship.

To: Students Residing in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton Counties:
Through the foresight and generosity of Dr. and Mrs. J. Hugh Fellows, the Fellows Foundation has provided low interest educational loans to deserving students from the four Northwest Florida counties for over 50 years. Many of the medical doctors, physician assistants, nurses, medical technologists, and church ministers with whom you may have had personal contact have received their professional education with the help of Fellows Foundation loans.
Beginning in 2023, the Foundation will begin offering educational scholarships. On behalf of the Fellows Foundation Trustees, I invite you to inquire about our scholarship program. If you intend to pursue a career in medicine, nursing, medical technology, or the ministry, you will probably find our Fellows Foundation scholarship to be your best financial alternative. If so, please submit an application.
