Programs of Study

Scholarships range from modest amounts for studies such as LPN designation, to more substantial amounts for studies such as RN, MD or Th.D. programs.

Each applicant is carefully considered based on financial need, scholastic record and the extent of assistance reasonably required to enable that individual to complete his or her professional training at an accredited institution.

Deserving students from Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton Counties are eligible for scholarships without distinction as to race, creed or gender, except that the religious beliefs of theological students may not be in substantial conflict with the faith and doctrines of the Episcopal Church.

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be a bona fide resident of Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, or Walton County, Florida.
  • Must be of good moral character and qualified scholastically and intellectually for the education desired.
  • Must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA in academic coursework.
  • Must be accepted by, or be successfully pursuing training at, an accredited college in the appropriate field of study.

Programs of Study


Medicine

A one-year scholarship is available to qualified students who have completed undergraduate studies and have been accepted by an accredited graduate school of medicine. Areas of study include most standard fields of medicine including but not limited to general practitioner, obstetrics, orthopedics, osteopathic medicine, pediatrics, and sports medicine, as well as physician assistant.

Health Care Related Programs

A one-year scholarship is available to qualified students who wish to receive training in nursing, medical technology, or other health care related fields.

  • Registered Nursing – AS
  • Registered Nursing – BSN (junior/senior year )
  • Registered Nursing – AS to BSN
  • Practical Nursing, VC
  • Practical Nursing to Registered Nurse, AS
  • Nurse Anesthesiologist, MSN
  • Nurse Practitioner, MSN
  • Nurse Practice, DNP
  • Medical Technology or Health Sciences
  • Physical/Occupational Therapy, Masters
  • Physical Therapy, DPT
  • Speech/Language Pathology, Masters

Other areas may be considered but must be reviewed and approved by the Trustees.

Theology

A one-year scholarship is available to students who have been accepted by an accredited graduate school of theology may apply for assistance to complete their education leading to a Master of Divinity (M.Div.), Master of Theology (Th.M.), Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.), or Doctor of Theology (Th.D.) degree, provided their religious beliefs and seminary of choice are not in substantial conflict with the faith and doctrines of the Episcopal Church. Theological programs of study must be reviewed and approved by the Trustees.
